You can see a slightly shortened version of home, the NOFF 2008 winner of the Best Experimental Film, on all airings of the PBS show Independent Lens from 2/16/10 to 2/22/10 (starting tonight at 9:30pm in most places).  It will be shown along with a full-length documentary entitled Mine, which is about the battle for lost pets after Hurricane Katrina.  To find your local schedule, check here.

TELEVISION WRITER AND PRODUCER ERIC OVERMYER TO SPEAK AT UNO
Acclaimed television writer and producer Eric Overmyer will be the featured keynote speaker at a panel series to introduce individuals to the basic concepts surrounding the screenwriting process. The event will take place on Thursday, February 25 from 6:30-8:30 PM at the University of New Orleans in the Performing Arts Center Room 317. It is free and open to the public.

FILM DIRECTOR, WRITER AND ACTOR PETER BOGDANOVICH TO SPEAK AT TULANE
Acclaimed film director Peter Bogdanovich will speak at Tulane University on
Wednesday, January 27th. The event, held in Freeman Auditorium in the
Woldenberg Art Center, begins at 7 PM, followed by a reception and book
signing. It is free and open to the public.
